I personally believe that the Spirit (that some people call God and other people call other things) is all-encompassing and that the Spirit binds humanity and draws us all toward good, constructive, and fulfilling lives. Or would, anyway, if all humanity accepted the Spirit. But, what if I’m wrong? What if the Spirit is, in fact, a human construction. Does that make the concepts and consequences of the Spirit, as I’ve just very briefly laid them out, any less important?
